According to reports Celtic are still keen on bringing the £6million rated striker, Abel Hernández to Glasgow this summer on a FREE.

The Uruguayan is out of contract in the summer which has alerted a lot of clubs with Celtic reportedly asking to be kept in the loop about the player’s future.

The striker has been at Hull since 2014 but is looking to move on now to a new challenge.

Brendan Rodgers and Lee Congerton are a big fan of the 27-year-old and to be able to get him without any sort of fee will appeal to the club greatly.

Reports down south claim there are a number of Premier League and Championship sides looking at Abel – if he wants to stay south of the border then Celtic will have to look elsewhere.

Can he be tempted to come and give it a go up here – now that Scottish football is “Box office”?

  1. If your reference is to Mr Gerrard, an untried rookie manager with no funds to build a decent team is not exactly ‘box office’. I think that was maybe a bit tongue in cheek!
