Former Celtic man Kieran Tierney is reportedly set to turn down the opportunity to leave English Premier League side Arsenal in the summer, with the full-back having ‘no intentions’ of leaving the Gunners.

The ex-Hoops academy graduate has enjoyed a spell down south since the 2019/20 season, becoming a fans favourite with Arsenal after his Celtic departure.

Tierney has also gone on to become a key player as they push for a top-four place, which has attracted interest from several European sides.

As reported by the Daily Record, Tierney has even attracted interest from the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona.

But, the 24-year old will not be looking to complete a move to either side this summer, having settled in at Arsenal.

Of course, moving to one of the biggest sides in Europe would be a massive achievement for the left-back at this stage of his career.

It would just go to show the sort of talent the Lennoxtown academy is able to create, producing a player for the top level of European football.

But, it doesn’t look like Tierney will be moving anywhere anytime soon, which also closes the opportunity for Celtic to make some more money on the Scotland internationalist, with any sell-on fee included in the deal.

I am sure, like several other Celtic fans, though, there is no doubt we will see a player of Tierney’s quality move at some point down the line.
