Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Joe Hart is reportedly ready to take a wage cut in order to complete a move to Celtic.

In the last week, the Hoops have been heavily linked with a move for the former England internationalist who is currently out of favour with the Premier League side and will likely be moved this summer.

With Hart currently plying his trade with one of the bigger sides in the EPL, some may have thought that wages could be an issue. However, according to Football Insider, the 34-year old is ready to take a pay cut to complete a move to Glasgow.

Fan opinions have been left split over this deal for Hart taking place.

Whilst some would be happy to see a possible upgrade on what we currently have, to some, that doesn’t seem like too much of a positive with the standard being pretty low over the past 12 months or so.

The goalkeeping issue is another that requires urgent work this summer. For me, a deal for Hart feels like we have tried to rush our way through to try and find a quick fix.

Ultimately, it remains to be seen whether this deal will take place and then we can discuss the sort of success the former Manchester City goalkeeper might have if he makes his way up to Glasgow.

  1. No one else in the footballing world are going near this has-been. Does anyone at Celtic consider why? Couldn’y get a game at his previous 2 clubs 5 or 6 years since he played regularly or well. Will sign for any other club in the South or the Midlands and is biting the bullet to come North as he has no offers. Good God. Sign the guy from Dundee Utd. Do something right you incompetent half-wits. We will end up as back-up to Scott Bain on 30 grand a week.
