Celtic look set to continue their summer business with reports suggesting that Portuguese and Benfica talent Felipe Jota is being eyed up for a possible move.

According to the Daily Record, Ange Postecoglou is looking to add more depth to his side, with the 22-year old winger emerging as a late target for the Hoops.

Last season the wide man, who has featured on several occasions for Portugal international youth sides, including the u19s European Champions in 2018, finishing top scorer at that tournament, spent the campaign in La Liga with Real Vallodolid.

His parent club Benfica is reportedly looking to send him out on loan this season, and Celtic looks to have their eye on a temporary move.

So far this season, we have seen this Celtic side at their free-flowing best with some of the attacking football we have played under new boss Ange Postecoglou.

The former Socceroos boss is now looking to add to his forward line options, and Jota looks like he could be a real asset for the Hoops this season if we can secure his services towards the end of this summer transfer window.

  1. These stories usually have as much hot air as that found in Ibrox and similarly when put to the test they crumble. Jota will likely not be at Celtic and Sevco will not win their second ever trophy this season.
