Yesterday, former Celtic academy graduate Kieran Tierney was linked with an impressive move to European giants Real Madrid.

The Scotland internationalist has, of course, been playing his football with English Premier League side Arsenal since leaving the Hoops for a deal in the region of £25 million in the summer of 2019.

However, with the news of the 24-year olds links to the Spanish side, the recent question has been asked of what Celtic could be set to make if a multi-million point deal was to go through for the left-back.

According to a report from the Daily Record, Celtic would also be set to receive 15% of any fee agreed between Arsenal and Real Madrid if that supposed deal was to come to fruition in the summer transfer window.

Tierney has come a long way since his days in the Lennoxtown academy and is now being linked with an incredible move to the Bernabéu.

When the full-back signed for Arsenal, I think all Celtic fans expected him to go on to even better things from there. But this move would take Tierney to a whole new level in European football.

Of course, it is still very on in the links with this transfer, and a long way to go until the summer. But, the former academy Bhoy could bring in more than that original £25 million fee in a potential move to Spain if reports are to be believed.

I am sure Celtic fans across the globe would also be proud to see one of our own, plying his trade at the very top level of European football over the next few years.
