This afternoon, on loan winger Jota kept his cards close to his chest in regards to his future at Parkhead.

The winger joined the club on a season-long loan deal from Portuguese side Benfica, with the Hoops also having an option to buy included in the transfer.

His early performances under Ange Postecoglou have been very impressive, which has led to many calls from supporters for the club to activate the clause in his loan deal.

Although he might not have given too much away in his press conference today, after picking up the player of the month award, according to The Scotsman, the 22-year old is ‘open’ to making a permanent move to Parkhead.

Signing up on a permanent deal would come as a significant boost to the Celtic support after his performances in the front three this season.

The talented winger looks like he is getting even better week after week and is also gaining more confidence which can be seen in the moments of skill he is producing, such as Saturday’s ‘rabona’ cross, which almost resulted in a goal.

Fingers crossed, this is something Celtic will be looking into getting wrapped up at some point in the near future.

  1. He is keeping his cards close to his chest because he won’t admit at the moment that he is only going to be with us for this season only and won’t want to disappoint all the supporters
