Celtic loanee Diego Laxalt is reportedly unlikely to return to the Hoops in the summer as his one-year temporary spell at the club comes to an end.
According to Milan News, it is unlikely that we will see the Uruguyan international make a return to Scotland as he prepares to head back to Serie A side AC Milan.
As well as not making a return to the Hoops, it is also thought that Laxalt won’t be making a return to Milan either. So, it looks like he could be finding himself another new home come the summer.
The signing of Laxalt has certainly been an up and down one.
At first, he looked to be a decent acquisition putting in some impressive performances against the likes of Lille in the Europa League and during that period also scoring a last-minute equaliser against Hibernian.
Despite his form being up and down, most Celtic fans will probably come to the conclusion that it is better to just move on from Laxalt this season and not seek a return.
It is a position that the club will be looking to recruit in the summer but the money can be spent better than if we looked to buy the 28-year old on a permanent basis.
