REPORTS in France have suggested Celtic’s deal for Odsonne Edouard is edging closer quicker than expected because time is of the essence for PSG.

The French club is about to be wrapped by UEFA for falling foul of the their financial fair play rules – something PSG knew was coming.

UEFA are set to reveal their findings of their investigation into the club’s dealing on June 8th at which point the club could be slapped with a transfer embargo.

This means that the Parisian club would be unable to buy or sell players for a period of time.

The club are trying to raise funds to balance the books to avoid the harsher punishments UEFA could set them by raising €70-90million in player sales according to French newspaper L’equipe.

The paper reports that PSG have already identified players they want to sell and Osdonne is on the list.

The Celtic loan star has made no secret he wants to stay at Celtic Park beyond his loan deal  which ended last month and told fans that this was just the beginning of his Celtic journey.

Brendan Rodgers told fans last month that Peter Lawell has already held talks about the player with a €7million fee the asking price.

If these reports are true, it’s now only a matter of time before a permanent deal is reached.
