Former BT Sports commentator and widely respected football pundit Derek Rae has thrown his two cents into the current Celtic managerial debate after months of wild speculation.
Celtic fans have heard rumours from everybody from Rafa Benitez and Jose Mourinho to Steve Clarke and Davie Moyes.
Rae brings an outside perspective and not just outside Celtic but outside the bubble of Scottish football as he watched from afar nowadays. The commentator made an intriguing and left field suggestion for the next Celtic boss by touting Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe.
Haven’t seen a link but if I were a Celtic fan, I would be intrigued by Eddie Howe. Like his work at Bournemouth but there a long time now & move to PL club with even greater ambitions never gets off the ground. Perhaps he’s happy on the south coast. New challenge one day though.

Howe has done a remarkable job with Bournemouth who currently sit 13th in the English Premier League table.
A young, hungry manager who seems to get the best out of what’s available to him wouldn’t be a terrible choice for Celtic.
Neil Lennon is still currently sitting the interim position with many tipping the Irishman to keep the role but Celtic fans want to see the club exhaust all options before any decision is made.
