It has been a rather eventful day if you’re a Celtic fan following the latest transfer developments at the club.

Major target John McGinn looks to been slipping away as Aston Villa try and wrap up a deal for the midfielder before the English deadline on Thursday.

Brendan Rodgers also confirmed Fulham had made an official bid for defender Dedryk Boyata – but the club has thrown it out.

The London club could try and test Celtic’s resolve again before Thursday. Rodgers major concern is they have nobody lined up to replace the Belgian even though he has only one year left.

Elsewhere, John Hartson has told Steven Gerrard to pipe down after the Ibrox boss cried about decisions going against the Govan club.
