Celtic supporters have been given an early indication of their away allocations for this season’s UEFA Europa League campaign, with the 5% minimum rule set by UEFA providing a guide to how many tickets the club will receive.
The largest allocation is expected in Belgrade, where the Rajko Mitic Stadium, home of Red Star, would allow for around 2,600 Celtic fans. The venue, one of the most intimidating in European football, is sure to host a fierce atmosphere, and the travelling support will make up a significant presence inside the ground.
Another big away day comes in Rotterdam, with Feyenoord’s Stadion Feijenoord set to provide 2,500 tickets for Hoops supporters. Celtic fans have travelled to the Netherlands in large numbers before and are likely to do so again for this high-profile clash.
At the other end of the scale is Denmark. FC Midtjylland’s MCH Arena holds just 11,000, meaning only 400 Celtic fans will be able to secure a ticket for that match. Competition for those briefs will be intense, and the limited number makes it one of the hardest away trips to access this season.
In Italy, the trip to Bologna offers a more balanced allocation, with the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara providing 1,800 seats for the travelling support. That figure ensures a sizeable backing in a country where Celtic fans have often made their presence felt.
