Celtic’s fixtures for the Europa league have been released and we start on the road to Rennes.
The bhoys found out on Friday afternoon they would be up against Lazio, Rennes and familiar does Cluj in the Europa League group stages.
It takes a few hours for Uefa to sort everything out and get the fixtures to fans but we can now reveal the full Europa match calendar.
- Rennes (A) – 19th Sep
- Cluj (H) – 3rd Oct
- Lazio (H) – 24th Oct
- Lazio (A) – 7th Nov
- Rennes (H) – 28th Nov
- Cluj (A) – 12th Dec
The two home games in between Rennes and Lazio away will be pivotal. Having Cluj at home first gives Celtic the opportunity to exact revenge on the Romanian side.
The trip to Rome will intrigue the travelling away support. Romania and Rennes will be familiar to a lot of the fans. We played Rennes a few years back in the competition.
We would urge caution with UK based Celts, with the impending no deal Brexit coming up there’s no guarantee you will get to where you’re going in the lead up to October 31.
