The Hoops are in Germany ahead of their toughest test of the campaign to date.

Brendan Rodgers’ men have been formidable so far this season. They have won each of their six league matches up to this point, failing to concede any goals along the way.

The Bhoys are also into the semi-finals of the Premier Sports Cup and made a perfect start to their UEFA Champions League campaign a fortnight ago, thrashing Slovan Bratislava 5-1.

The Celts will look to carry such European form into this evening and secure a maiden victory on German soil.

Their performance will be critical to achieving any result, but the officials’ failure to make any poor calls could be equally crucial. And for tonight’s match, the referee and VAR team are predominantly Spanish.

Jose Maria Sanchez will take charge of the match, assisted by Inigo Prierto and Jose Naranjo. Guillermo Cuadra is on fourth official duties.

Carlos del Cerro Grande is leading the way in the VAR room, with Portuguese Tiago Martins serving as his assistant.

Kick-off at Signal Iduna Park is at 8pm tonight.

The action is live on TNT Sports, as Rodgers and Co. aim to make a European statement.
