GIORGOS GIAKOUMAKIS missed Celtic’s match against St Mirren on Wednesday night.
After missing training on Tuesday, many assumed the Greek striker was heading for the exit door, and was perhaps already out it. However, Ange Postecoglou offered a valid, and much simpler, excuse for the striker’s absence.
The Celtic boss said that Giakoumakis would’ve featured in the match, if he wasn’t injured.

It’s unclear how severe the injury is, but it doesn’t seem too serious, with the boss saying he pulled up sore.
For the player, he’ll be hoping the knock doesn’t hamper his hopes of a Celtic exit, hoping for a move to surface in the coming days.
It was a dominant display from Celtic tonight, with some brilliant football being played by the side. Maeda replaced Kyogo through the middle, and it was really a like for like chnage, with Maeda keen to press and make similar runs to Kyogo.
