I think we’ve jumped the shark with articles trying to present a rift in the Celtic dressing room with this latest offering from Football Insider and happily reproduced by RedordSport.

FI wheeled out former Spurs goalkeeper Paul Robinson to tell us Craig Gordon ‘doesn’t like the manager now’ and will be looking at his options come January.

With absolutely no background of what’s going on at Celtic or even watching Scottish football – we’ve been given this opinion and statement by the former English goalkeeper.

Had he done his homework before giving out quotes, he would’ve seen Neil Lennon starting Craig Gordon in cup games and making it clear it’s a difficult situation for Craig because he he hasn’t done much wrong to be dropped for Forster. The Celtic manager still giving the former number one meaningful game time.

Gordon is entering the last six months of his deal and will likely move on in the summer after being a great servant to the club.

However, Robinson clearly has just been asked about a subject he knows nothing about but gives his opinion anyway.

“Take Craig Gordon out the team, he doesn’t like the manager now, he’s not going to, so it can be very, very difficult for a third choice goalkeeper to break into the team, given what’s ahead of him.

“He’s got two very, very good, old, experienced goalkeepers so for him to break through you’ll probably need injury or suspension or look elsewhere to get game time.

“He’s been excellent for Celtic for the last couple of years, I think he’s been outstanding.”

Reports of squad disharmony – I wonder who dropped points at the weekend – It’s so transparent.
