The Green Brigade hosted their annual foodbank collection to help the poorest in our society on Saturday afternoon and before the game they sent a message that ‘enough is enough’ when it comes to poverty and the cost of living crisis.

The banner read – ‘Enough is Enough. 25% of Children, 20% of working class people, 14% of pensioners live in poverty.’

Highlighting inequality and the struggles many of our fellow human beings are facing.

After the banner made its way onto social media, the RMT Union Shared the image and praised the Celtic fans for their visible stance.

So many failings from the UK government go unchecked. They want us to be angry at strikers, immigrants and anyone else they can try to malign.

As a society we need to say ‘Enough is Enough. Attacking working people for wanting a better wage while the failings of this government has saw everyone’s bills Sky rocket is morally repugnant.

Celtic were founded to feed the poor in Glasgow. It’s baked into the very ethos of the club and shines through in our supporter base and even the Celtic foundation which has been a force for good both locally and internationally.

Enough is certainly, enough.
