ROCCO Vata’s departure from Celtic has seemed increasingly likely in recent weeks, especially after he aligned with CAA Base agency.
Now, emerging reports from Italy indicate that Verona has tabled a four-year contract for the promising player.
Vata, who was handed his senior debut by Ange Postecoglou last season, has been in stellar form in the Lowland League this season, netting six goals in just five games.
He was recently seen training with Celtic’s first team, leading many to hope that his promotion signalled an intention to remain with the Scottish giants beyond the summer.
However, the narrative seems to have shifted. Renowned journalist Nicolo Schira suggests that a move to Verona for Vata is “getting closer”

Fresh from their Serie A opening win, Verona, who narrowly avoided relegation last season based on goal difference, is evidently on the hunt for new talent. While it’s unlikely Vata will secure a starting berth immediately, his path to first-team football at Verona seems less obstructed compared to Celtic.
Regardless of the perspective, the potential departure of such a prodigious talent like Vata from Celtic is undeniably a significant blow.
