Brendan Rodgers has addressed the ongoing unrest surrounding Celtic following the dramatic 2-1 victory over Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.

The Irishman admitted that the situation has been difficult both professionally and personally, stressing that division is not something he wants to see at the football club. He said: (TCW), “It’s been a challenging couple of weeks and as a manager and a supporter of Celtic, I don’t really like that, to see that. I really don’t.
“For us we want to be always together and we always want to be the very best that we can be as a football club and the quicker we can find that, then the stronger we will be.
“Until that moment comes and there’s some differences which, you know, I will respect.
“I need to make sure that the team is focused and I manage the situation the best I possibly can to make sure we keep getting the results.
“And yeah, it is a challenge but that’s the job of the manager to deal with it.”
Rodgers’ comments highlight the delicate balance he faces at Celtic Park, with the need to maintain harmony while also demanding more from those above him. These comments show he knows about the unrest but is focused on keeping the squad away from it.
The win at Rugby Park may help ease immediate pressure, but Rodgers knows victories alone won’t silence the wider concerns about direction and ambition. Supporters have been vocal in their calls for greater backing in the transfer market, an issue that continues to overshadow results.
