CELTIC are very close to becoming SPFL Champions for the 6th consecutive season. While there’s still the matter of a semi-final against The Rangers, where Celtic could progress to the final of the Scottish Cup the manager is looking to act early to give Celtic the best possible chance of qualifying for the group stages.

Celtic will again have to negotiate their way through a plethora of qualifiers in order to rub shoulders with Euro’s elite and the Celtic manager is very conscious of this.

Another season of Champions League would see Celtic get another cash windfall of over £30million which would help the club continue to build for the present and future.

We understand that some fringe players have already been told that they can seek a move away come the summer as Rodgers looks to trim the squad and bring in some re-reinforcements.

The biggest story of the summer will undoubtedly be Moussa Dembele and if he’ll stay or go. Rodgers and Celtic are firm in their belief that unless a ridiculous amount of money came in for the striker then he’ll be at the club for another season yet. The Frenchman will be vital in the qualifiers.

Some other Celtic players will also be in high demand and will test the resolve of the Celtic board.

Given their domestic dominance this season the club does have the luxury of looking forward and will look to take full advantage.
