BRENDAN RODGERS was delighted with his side’s effort at Hamilton today but the Celtic manager commented on how peculiar the atmosphere was around the ground for the whole game.

The game did see overly quiet at times when Rodgers admitted he’s used to hearing the Celtic fans in full voice for large periods of the game.

It did come through that way on the TV also.

Speaking about the game Rodgers told BT Sport: “It was a really good result.

“There was a funny atmosphere today, it was really quiet.

“Normally when we play there’s a really high intense atmosphere.”

The Celtic manager was happy to see players who had been previously injured get a run out.

Ntcham looked lively but the Celtic manager admitted he was a bit sloppy at times.

“It was important to get the players back and the team is in good flow.

“Olivier misplaced some of his passes today but that was to be expected.

“We ask the players to play with a big intensity and you need players who are fresh and dynamic.”

Celtic have created some distance between themselves and the rest of the chasing pack for now.

An early kick off puts the pressure on others for sure.

The bhoys controlled the game and never looked like losing it.

It did become a bit flat at times, with the atmosphere and what was on offer on the pitch.
