Speaking ahead of Thursday night’s crunch tie with Leipzig, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers provided some very good news on the injury front.

It appears Yousouff Mulumbu is in the squad for tomorrow night’s tie and could play a part in the tie.

The former Killie enforcer has not been seen since Celtic’s away day against Salzburg with Mulumbu nursing an unknown injury.

Celtic have been flying without Mulumbu and Brown. With three midfielders who would play the holding role out, Callum McGregor has stepped up in a big way for the club.

With Mulumbu declared fit, it could give Brendan Rodgers the chance to push McGregor further up the field.

The Irishman spoke a few weeks ago about saying putting McGregor in the holding role meant he couldn’t have his midfield star attacking as much as he’d like.

However, there is an old saying ‘If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.’ – is Rodgers ready to play his high flying bhoys and have Mulumbu their as an insurance policy if we’re holding onto a lead later in the game.
