CELTIC lost another defender early on to injury last night as the defensive woes for the bhoys pile up.

It seems like a lifetime ago the squad had all defenders fit and available for selection.

Benkovic went down with an achilles injury during the warm up at Rugby Park at the weekend and now Kristoffer Ajer limped off the field during Celtic’s 1-0 league Cup semi final win.

Brendan Rodgers has confirmed Kristoffer has pulled his hamstring and they are now waiting to see the extent of the damage in the coming days.

Speaking after the match the Irishman said: “It looks like a hamstring for Kris.

“We’ll just have to see how long that is going to be”

The bhoys could be without the young defender for some time if Celtic’s worst fear is realised.

The Norweigan looked solid and assured in Perth before going down.

There’s a scenario where Jack Hendry is our only fit and available centre back for the semi final. Will Rodgers call on Marvin Compper?

  1. The time has come before the league has gone,we must bring in a new CH two would be better and two midfielders and CF they all can be signed and all can play in the Scottish league and cups, and as we buy in the men that will fight for the badge on the pitch we send home all the dead wood and put them up for sale.

The time is now not in January for the board to back BR as he needs £10/15 million to bring in three or four new players and make sure the league is ours.
