Brendan Rodgers has told Celtic fans his side is waking up after a turbulent start to the season.

The Irishman spoke in the summer of entering a new phase in his Celtic tenure. Having won a double treble the Celtic manager was looking for even more from his players and yes, more from the board.

While the board and more specifically Peter Lawwell let the manager down in the summer, the players have not been up to scratch in the opening couple of months of the season.

Since the Kilmarnock game where Celtic lost in the last minute at Rugby Park, the team has registered four wins on the bounce domestically and have really upped their performance more specifically in the last two games.

Celtic have scored ten goals in two SPFL games and the Hibernian tie on Saturday was a real test for the players. Apart from some lapses at the back, Celtic were outstanding and attacked with real intensity in purpose.

After the game, Brendan Rodgers summed it up perfectly.
