CELTIC FANS are having their say after watching Celtic put in a below-par performance before and after playing with ten men.
The bhoys looked out of ideas, passing sideways and backwards as a resolute St Mirren side defended for their lives.
It’s the same old story with Celtic when it comes to breaking down teams who have no intention of coming out to attack.
Celtic beat these teams with ease in their invincible season, but are finding it increasingly hard to do so.
Last season we didn’t perform to a high standard and the bhoys have now started this league campaign showing the same problems.
There is a lack of ideas and confidence to break down a defensively set up side who are willing to run and block you for 90 minutes.
Some fans have deemed the game itself awful and are looking around for what Rodgers needs to do next in order put fear back into teams who play us.
One fan bemoaned the amount of talent we have lost in Roberts and Armstrong without replacing them.
Awful.
Too easy to blame Ntcham red but St Mirren defended so deep the extra man didn’t matter.
Fact is we cannot break down defensive teams in final 3rd like we did 2 seasons ago.
We have mostly the same players mid/attack. So what has happened to #Celtic ffs?

When you take away the goals and creativity of Dembele, Roberts, Armstrong and don't replace their quality you get turgid, pedantic performances like that. We are going to see a lot of Celtic performances like that awful, awful game this season, away from home especially.

Yes it was a very slow tired looking team we just did not get stuck in to them when the going gets tough the tough get going but we did not get going,i just LOVE how every one wants to beat us at any cost every one trying to work out how to beat us,every one wants there say on how they know how to beat Rodgers Celtic team its all over the internet on tv and in every newspaper,i am sure they all want SG and his sad team to beat them and its not about there own team and how many points they can get, its more about every other teams aim in trying there best to beat Celtic only, but lets face it on there day we will beat every team in Scotland and win so we had a off game last night it happens but we still have time on our side as the others will beat each other over and over.
Same performance against teams that sit back. First season Sinclair on fire taking players on Armstrong coming through from midfield shooting from outside box Paddy on other wing taking players on….last season and now back to centre halfs cross the park slow predictable build up that teams have sussed out. Rogers never changes plan and there’s times when getting the ball up to front players quicker does work. McGregor and Rogic not consistent enough…you can tell after five minutes if they’re gonna be good or not

I totally agree with some of the comments.Celtic superiority in Scotland wasting to much time on possessions by playing backward and sideways while other teams are getting off the hook and valuable time is being wasted in the 90 minutes.A goal is needed to win game and if teams park the bus,start shooting from outside the box instead of passing and loose the ball most of the times.If you are superior,prove it,act it and go for your first goal and this will eventually change the scenario altogether,the parkbus will have to be moved or accept defeat.
