Brendan Rodgers holds the current interim boss at Celtic Park in very high regard and if you don’t believe it, just watch the latest Brendan Rodgers interview below where he explains John Kennedy’s credentials.
Rodgers and Kennedy worked closely together during the Irishman’s time at Parkhead and it was Brendan’s decision to keep the coach on after the Ronny Deila era.
"I have no doubt he will be a manager…"

There was heavy rumours Rodgers wanted to take John to Leicester with him but the Celtic coach turned it down.
This was fed into by Kennedy’s own comments two years ago:
“There wasn’t a moment when I might have gone too. I’ve had a really close attachment with Celtic. A lot of people say it and that kind of stuff.” He told SUNSPORT in 2019 when asked about Rodgers advances.
“But I’ve spent a large chunk of my life here in terms of being a player and working behind the scenes.
“There’s certainly an emotional attachment there. To leave Celtic would be very difficult for me.”
The way Rodgers does speak about John in the above video leads me to believe these rumours were true and HeraldSport, at the time claimed Rodgers had made the offer.
John opted to stay at Celtic and assist Neil Lennon. They won a treble in their first full season but as we know things fell apart this season to the point John is seeing out the season as interim boss.
John should go out and be a manager elsewhere, warn his stripes and return one day.
