RODGERS has told Celtic fans he’s ready to use his fringe stars in the game against Leipzig with his hand being forced due to injuries and suspension.
Celtic are without Kristoffer Ajer, Scott Brown, Leigh Griffiths, Tom Rogic and James Forrest who is suspended. With all these players 100% out of the game in Germany Celtic are also monitoring Filip Benkovic who is a major doubt for the game also.
That means there are potentially six first team players out of the starting XI and definitely five.
Celtic are up against it in the Europa League matchday three but Brendan Rodgers is using this opportunity to bring in his fringe stars to make an impact.
Lewis Morgan and Eboue Kouasi are almost certain starters now with an off form Scott Sinclair likely to come in also.
Celtic do not fare well on their travels in Europe usually and it’s going to take a monumental effort with a patched-up side if Celtic are to get a positive result.
