CRAIG GORDON should be back before the end of the season, which is great news.
However, Brendan Rodgers must be looking at his goalkeeper situation and be wondering if it’s time to find a new first team goalkeeper.
We all know that won’t be Dorus De Vries, the 37-year-old is filling in for Gordon at the moment but does not inspire confidence.
So who should Brendan Rodgers look to in order to solve his goalkeeping woes?
Michel Vorm.
The Dutch goalkeeper who is currently on the books at spurs contract runs out at the end of the season. Celtic could approach the shot stopper right now in order to get a deal in place for the summer if they so wished.
With no need to a transfer fee, it would make the goalkeepers move a little easier. His current wage packet would be a stumbling block – Celtic unlikely to offer the lofty wages that come with being a backup goalkeeper in the Premier League.
Could Brendan use his influence to make a deal happen for his first team goalkeeper during his time with Swansea?
At 34-years-old, Vorm wouldn’t be for the longterm future but could certainly give Celtic two or three seasons.
Vorm has made 8 appearances for Spurs this season in all competitions.
Quality keeper and would be a great addition to the team for next season???
Still 2 commanding, experienced, centre backs and a goalkeeper, needed to advance in Europe I have been saying g this since may last year.
