Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers had a ‘good chat’ with Greg Taylor after Sunday’s match against St. Mirren.
The Hoops cantered to a comfortable 3-0 victory, with goals coming from Nicolas Kuhn and Auston Trusty.
While it was a dominant win that sent the Hoops 13 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership, Brendan Rodgers’ comments dominated the post-match headlines.
He lashed out at the Celtic supporters, criticising them for their reaction to some backwards passes and singing Kieran Tierney’s name.

Regarding the latter, he urged fans to take into account current left-back Taylor’s feelings when chanting for the ex-Celt.
Taylor, whose Parkhead future remains up in the air, went straight up the tunnel after the full-time whistle. Rodgers today revealed their post-match conversation: “I have spoken to him,” he said (Celtic FC on YouTube).
“He is absolutely fine. I had a good chat with Greg just on a number of things.
“He is good to go.”
The 27-year-old will likely play a part in tomorrow evening’s match against Dundee United at Celtic Park.
There were some fears over his availability, though, after Rodgers said following Sunday’s game that Taylor almost broke his nose and was ‘bleeding for the club’. Today, however, the manager eased any worries.
Rodgers said: “That was obviously a part of going in to make sure he was okay, and he obviously rushed in to get some treatment.
“But yes, he is fine. He is trained today, so he is good to go.”
Celtic can go 16 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership tomorrow evening with a victory over United. Rangers don’t play until Thursday, so almighty pressure can be put on the Ibrox club with a win.
Rodgers, though, will ensure his players keep focus solely on themselves as they look to make it back-to-back wins for the first time in 2025.
