Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has revealed what he believes to be the two standout elements of Celtic’s Champions League campaign so far. Although the Hoops have just a solitary point on the board to date, there have still been some positives to take.
In each match in which the Hoops have kept eleven men on the park, they have remained competitive. As well as this, Rodgers thinks his team have taken two key factors away from their group games this campaign. He said (Glasgow Times): “I think the two standouts for me are the experience the players gain from playing at this level – players who have been consistently at this level so that is always important. When you come up against top-level players, it is all about concentration for 90 minutes going into the game and it is about quality at the top of the field. Quality and experience are what improves you as a team and an individual at this level.”
