BRENDAN RODGERS has put any rumours to bed that he’s prepared to ditch Leigh Griffiths after the striker’s silly outburst at Firhill.
Leigh was not happy at being substituted even though Celtic were coasting with more important games coming up. Many fans were in agreement that it was a stupid thing to do under the circumstances and it appears Leigh thinks the same with hindsight.
Asked if Leigh would drop out of Rodgers plans because of this the manager was concise:
“He’s apologised sincerely. He’s a massive part of what I’m doing so don’t think he’s on his way out.”
The camera’s picked up the pair after the game having a short chat about the incident where it looked like Rodgers nipped it in the bud very quickly.
Great to see the manager in control.
