BRENDAN RODGERS managed to see the funny side of Hamilton’s soft balls after the game after previously looking raging with the situation.

Lustig signalled to the bench the ball they were playing with was light and needed pumped up, more balls were then thrown in and none of them were up to scratch.

This left the Celtic kit-man with the job of going back to the dressing room and pumping every one of the balls up in order to make sure they were good enough to play with.

Another one of those moments only reserved for Scottish football.

Speaking after the game Rodgers joked Hamilton had ‘all the tricks’ to try and throw Celtic off their game.

“Every ball we used seemed to be flat, all seven of them,” Rodgers told BT Sports.

“I’m not sure if that was a tactic or what, but it was like passing a balloon. They’ve got all the tricks up here haven’t they?

“Eventually we got our kit-man to go and get the pump and pump them all up.”

Celtic ran out comfortable 3-0 winners on the day and in the process went two points clear at the top of the table. Not bad for a weekends work!

The Bhoys now head to Norway for their crunch tie against Rosenborg on Thursday.
