NEWS from down under today suggested Tom Rogic has knocked back a new deal from Celtic with 15 months left of his current deal.

The Australian has just come back from injury and played the second 45 minutes of Celtic’s disappointing defeat in Russia on Thursday night.

However, talks between the club and the player’s representatives have been ongoing and while these reports claim Tom has rejected a new deal – it’s believed negotiations will still carry on in order to keep the player at the club beyond the end of next season.

Tom’s rise at Celtic has been somewhat of a slow burn, with injury’s hampering his early days at the club – since Ronny Deila and Brendan Rodgers the midfielder has become a fan favourite. The goal Rogic scored to seal the treble last season will be etched in every Celtic fans memory forever.

There is still a long way to go and with Brendan Rodgers keen to keep Rogic at the club. The invincible star has even taken new signing Leo Mazis under his wing as the youngster navigates the harsh waters of Glasgow after moving from Oz.
