RONNY DEILA has told Scott Brown he will carry on as his captain next season after having a chat with the midfielder.
Brown was Neil Lennon’s enforcer on the pitch during the Irishman’s time at Celtic and Ronny wants the same commitment from the player as he looks to take Celtic forward.
“Scott Brown is a fantastic captain. Of course, he will remain the captain. He is very important for me and for Celtic” said Ronny.
“Passion is everything and Scott brings that to the team.”
Scott is no stranger to dealing with manager upheaval as he was signed by Gordon Strachan and has played under Tony Mowbray and Neil Lennon at Celtic.
It looks as though he and the new manager are both on the same page which will ease the transition currently going on behind the scenes at Parkhead.
