Ronny Deila has spoken ahead of Celtic’s next home game in the SPFL. The two time SPFL league winning manager moved on at the end of last season and has since become the Valarenga manager back in Norway but admits he would like to visit Celtic Park as a fan this weekend.

“My father has a couple of friends who have seen all the Celtic matches since I started in the job, so he is going with them to the Rangers match and will spend a couple of days in Glasgow over the weekend. If things are right I will hopefully join them”

Ronny Deila was the manager who won the first ever tie between the two clubs who will do battle this weekend. Celtic ran out 2-0 winners that day but it could have been a lot more. The Norweigan wasn’t so lucky in the second tie against the then lower league side when his side were beat on penalties. There were some crumbs of comfort as when Deila won the first semi final, Celtic went on to win the competition where as Mark Warbuton’s side famously fell short after winning theirs.

This will be the Ibrox sides first visit to Celtic Park and it’s shaping up to be a cracker. If Ronny does appear on the stands to cheer on Rodgers and the bhoys we hope he gives us a roar for old times sake.
