Former Celtic manager Ronny Deila will assume the position as head coach of the Oslo club, Vålerenga from January 1st next year.

The former Celtic boss has been out of work for just a short period after leaving Celtic in May but he has been fielding offers since.

The catalyst for this move has been Stromgodset’s former football director Erik Espeseth who worked with Ronny back in Norway before his move to Celtic who now looks poised to join Vålerenga also.

Deila knows the Norweigan game very well and has already won the league with Stromgodset in the past.

The move is yet to become official but it’s fully expected that Ronny will continue his managerial career with the Oslo club starting in January.

We wish Ronny nothing but the best!

  1. I don’t care a hoot about Ronny Deila. He was a disaster from day one.
Nice guy? Sure he was. Coach? Never in a million years.
