RONNY DEILA has become the new manager of Celtic Football Club this morning.

The Norwegian has signed a 12 month rolling contract which is the norm for any Celtic manager nowadays.

With this move Ronny ends an 8 year association with Stromsgodset where he has had success, winning the  Norwegian league in December.

While the manager is relatively unknown this appointment seems to have galvanised the support and many are now looking forward to the future.

The new manager will have to hit the ground running now with Champions league qualifiers coming in a little over 6 weeks time.

Ronny is excited by the challenge and told Celticfc.net he is looking forward to it.

“I know what I want for Celtic and our supporters and that is the best of everything, it is what our fans deserve. I want to deliver the best attacking, exciting and entertaining football we can play, for the players to give their best every time they take to the field of and, of course. I want my players to work with me to achieve the best results possible and bring trophies to Celtic.”

Welcome to the Family Ronny!

Despite a 3-0 midweek win against Saint Johnstone the scoreline only managed to hide the fact that Ronny has a long way to go before he wins back over a largely disgruntled support. Today was a paradise debut for Delia with more pressure getting thrown on his already sagging shoulders. […]
