ROSENBORG fans showed the lighter side of themselves tonight as they watched their team get put out of the Europa League.

The Norwegian side were virtually out the competition but Celtic’s victory confirmed their elimination and put the bhoys on the brink of the Europa League knock out stage.

This is the fourth time the teams have played each other this season and the sixth time overall since Brendan Rodgers took over.

With the clubs meeting so much and with the inevitable Champions League qualifiers next season – Rosenborg fans unveiled a ‘See you next year’ banner.

Rosenborg have been very hospitable to the Scottish Champions; they even brought in a choir to sing You’ll Never Walk Alone’ a this morning’s security meeting.

Having just won their league and a final of their own coming up on Sunday, it’s no wonder they’re not dwelling on their European shortcomings.

Celtic have knocked them out of two competitions in the one season but they do not seem too downhearted.
