Celtic beat Ross County 5-0 in a good performance by the bhoys who didn’t have it all their own way. They had to earn the right to play and deal with a Ross County side intent on making a game of it.

An early penalty set Celtic on their way and while they never looked like losing there were moments in the game.

Three major talking points.

Shane Duffy’s debut.

He nearly got off to a horrible start when he didn’t catch a Ross County player coming in from his blindside. After that, the defender grew into the game. His header was fantastic to put the bhoys three ahead on the day and shows how his aerial presence can pay off for the club. His defending, particularly in the second half was solid and imposing, something every Celtic fan will love to see.

Vasilis Barkas shuts up premature critics.

Barkas came into this game being questioned by people in the media more than anyone else but in reality, he hadn’t really been tested. Today showed what the goalkeeper can do, his shot-stopping looks good and the Greece international grew into the game.

Five goals, five separate scorers

The 3-5-2 came up big for Celtic today, there were five goals and five different scorers from the team. Eddy, Ajeti, Duffy, Ajer and Klimala all got among the goals. Shout out to Klimala who came on and managed to get on the scoresheet after missing a sitter when he first entered the field. There are goals all over the pitch, that’s a great thing to have.
