CELTIC is rumoured to sign Ireland Under-19 International Johnny Kenny. As all signs pointed towards the prospect joining Hibernian but have opted for Bodo/Glimit youngster instead.
Kenny, who signed a new 3-year contract in November of 2021, has a release clause of just over £120,000. In his first season as a professional footballer, he hit the double-figure of goals scored in all competitions.
Johnny Kenny set for Celtic. The deal set to be completed in the next few days.

Born in 2003, Kenny is aged 18 and is currently contracted to Sligo Rovers. With his goal-scoring, he helped his side finish third in the league of Ireland last season. Their season ended in November.
Of course, this is just a rumour, with no mainstream outlet reporting the potential move just yet. If Kenny was to join Celtic ‘in the next few days’ he would presumably compete for a place in the B team. It would be interesting to see Celtic try to loan the player to another Scottish team so he can gain experience, however Celtic very rarely do so.
Yea and Celtic can win their B teams league?? WTF.
Good player if he doesn’t mind being loaned back to Sligo.
