Football Insider has revealed that Celtic have terminated the contract of Frenchman Oliver Ntcham. Yes, I know, it’s football insider and must be taken with a pinch of salt but it’s a concerning report.

It is claimed that Celtic found a loophole in his current contract which was signed in 2018. Ntcham was on loan at French team Marseille, where he struggled to get game time under his belt, this led to Marseille not taking up the reported optional £4.5 million which would make his move permanent.

To let Ntcham walk for free seems ludicrous, especially with many players eyeing up a move this summer he could have been part of the new manager’s plans.

Aged 25, he still has a promising future ahead and has demonstrated how skillful he can be. Ntcham scored the winner in Rome last year, which saw Celtic defeat Lazio to win their Europa League group.

Ntcham has scored 24 goals and assisted 13 in his 147 games for Celtic.

We are trying to find the truth in this story and have contacted the club for comment.

  1. Hope its true, this guy is an imposter and has been found out. No one would have been prepared to pay a fee for him and he would have hung around for another year picking up big money while sitting on his jacksy It will free up wages to sign someone more committed on a Bosman.

  2. Dont know what makes you think no one would pay a fee for him.
Previously spent a season in Italy, ex-Man City, French u21 international yet you know that no one would pay a fee?
I think a good man manager could get the best out of him but even if you dont rate him, the last thing we should do is let him go for free
