Rodgers has sent out a warning to any player in his team he has no room for sentimentality.
Addressing his team’s current form the Irishman conceded he has compassion for Scott Brown and Olivier Ntcham but this stops short of the players getting a game for the club on past performances.
Since both went down with injuries there, places have been taken by Callum McGregor and Ryan Christie who have been absolutely exceptional.
After Celtic’s slow striker to the season, they are absolutely flying with the midfield right now which has left the Celtic captain and Olivier Ntcham sitting in the bench looking to make an impact from the bench.
Right now this Celtic team is better without the pair starting, and while Rodgers sympathises, he won’t give them an automatic place.

The Irishman is absolutely correct and knows he has to play his best team more often than not.
Rodgers showing his more ruthless side with these comments.
