Celtic midfielder Ryan Christie has admitted that both Ismaila Soro and David Turnbull are more than ready to start at Ibrox tomorrow ahead of a possible season-defining fixture against Rangers.

As reported by the Scotsman, the midfield duo have been on incredible form in recent weeks and Christie believes the influence can be carried over to this crucial fixture. After both Soro and Turnbull got themselves on the scoresheet, the attacking midfielder also joked about his shooting ability in the last few games.

“I would have been [proud of Soro’s goal]. Mine these days just fly into the stands so I’ll leave the shooting to him.

They [Soro and Turnbull] are absolutely ready [for Ibrox], I don’t see why they wouldn’t be.

“They couldn’t be in a better run of form, are full of confidence. With David also getting his goal against United and scoring recently, and there is no better way to be going into such a big game.”

Before the introduction of Soro and Turnbull into the side, there was a lot of concern at where Neil Lennon’s side was going after going on an extremely poor run of two wins in 12 games.

However, since they came into the side there has been an upturn in form and the way the side is playing, keeping four cleans sheets and winning the last four league fixtures.

Building momentum going into this game was always going to be key and the Hoops have done that in the month of December. Those same players have to go in with the mindset and confidence that they have recently. That will be crucial as to whether we will take home the three points and get our title challenge back on track.

  1. No sense putting a lot of effort into midfield and attack against the foe. If the defence is fragile and wanting at simple set pieces. And then to lose points elsewhere against teams below Celtic. So it is all or nothing tomorrow. And unless sevco fuc& it up. See whos spending after the derby bares fruit soonest. COYBIG ?? NLFA ?? HWGFTINR ?? YTDP ??
