Ryan Christie ‘Frustration’ At Former Celtic Boss Comments

CHARLIE CHRISTIE has lifted the lid on Ryan Christie’s frustrating start at Parkhead when he was brought in under former Celtic boss Ronny Deila.

The player came into the club from Inverness and wasn’t used very much during the season by the Norweigan.

Ronny would eventually be relieved of his duties later in the season for failing to hit key targets and after that, the manager picked his team with more freedom.

Ryan Christie was one of the goal scorers on the day of Ronny’s final game in charge in a rampant 7-0 trophy day against Motherwell.

The former Celtic boss conceding, Ryan’s performance made him realise he should’ve been used more that term. While this was a compliment to Ryan, he couldn’t help but feel frustrated at the comment.

“He’s a good example of giving it your utmost when you’re not in the team.” Charlie told BBC.

“He played and scored in a 7-0 win on the final day of the season against Motherwell.

“Ronny Deila said afterwards he maybe should have played him more often that season. That just increased the frustration for Ryan.”

Ryan would go out on loan to Aberdeen and almost could have become a permanent Aberdeen player at one point. If it hadn’t been for Brendan Rodgers playing the midfielder out of necessity last term in the League Cup, who knows where Ryan would be now. He got his chance and has taken it big time.
