Celtic attacking midfielder Ryan Christie is set to return to the squad tomorrow afternoon after missing out on the Hoops 3-2 win over Lille in the Europa League through suspension.

In what was an impressive win for the Celts, that saw fringe players such as Ismaila Soro and David Turnbull star, it has left Neil Lennon with a possible dilemma as to whether Christie will return to the starting line-up tomorrow or take his place on the bench from the start.

Many fans have called for the Scotland international to remain out the side after a first good performance in a matter of weeks. Although, I wouldn’t be too surprised to see the 26-year olds name on the team-sheet come 1:30 PM tomorrow.

With Jeremie Frimpong coming off with an injury knock the other night, Lennon may choose to go with Christie on the right-hand side instead. Yes, the Northern Irishman did admit Frimpong should be okay for tomorrow but it possibly isn’t a risk worth taking.

Some would argue that youngster Ewan Henderson has earned that spot in the team, as he was one of the others to come in and put in a good showing. I would tend to agree that Henderson deserves his chance.

However, I think there is a high possibility that Lennon does stick with his tried and tested in this position when it comes to Christie.

It will definitely be interesting to see what side is put out to face Kilmarnock and no doubt there will be discussion within the support no matter who it is.
