RYAN CHRISTIE was in good form yesterday as he sat in front of the press at Lennoxtown. The player who is out for the season with a face injury is watching the bhoys from the sidelines as they go for some more history.

The young lad will take comfort from the fact it was his emergence this season that helped spark Celtic into life in the League Cup – Christie also scoring the winner against Aberdeen in the final.

Ryan suffered a major blow against the Dons at Hampden when he went up for the ball and a very late challenge by Dominical ball seen the player knocked unconscious and his face in need of surgery. A very serious injury at the time but now the Ryan is seeing the funny side of things and even let us know the hilarious nickname the other Celtic player’s are calling him.

“The Celtic players are calling me Two-Face from Batman. I could be standing on one side and I look completely fine but when I turned around you would hear a ‘Jesus Christ!’” he laughed as he told RecordSport.

Ryan was looking well in the press conference and his face is healing up nicely a month on from the incident.
