Celtic have had the perfect start to the new year. They’ve beat everyone put in front of them. They came out of the transfer window with a much stronger squad. It’s unsure if Celtic fans will get to see any of the new faces today at McDiarmid Park. One face St. Johnstone fans would not like to see is Ryan Christie’s.

The midfielder was entering a make or break season last year at Paradise and Celtic fans will be happy that he has become such a major part of the first team action. Christie has scored at least twice the number of Scottish Premiership goals against St. Johnstone (eight) than anyone else. The young Scot has been involved in four goals in his last three games against them. He has scored two goals and gave two assists. His goal during the week against them will be a contender for goal of the month/season.  (continues below…)

Ryan will be hoping that form continues, especially with another two games scheduled with Saints. Today’s clash is part two of a tripleheader. Celtic found it hard to break down their opponents on Wednesday night but managed a 2-0 win at Paradise with goals from Ryan and Callum McGregor.

Kick off from McDiarmid Park is at 12:30pm, we will have all the post and pre-match reaction. The game will be shown by Sky Sports from 12.
