RYAN CHRISTIE shared a picture of himself post-surgery as the player now begins recovery from the gruesome injury he sustained at Hampden.
The midfielder went up to head the ball in the middle of the field when Aberdeen’s Dominic Ball made a very late challenge and smashed into Ryan’s face. The player was sent off for his second yellow but the damage was done to Christie and he had to be stretchered off.
He posted a picture last week of his face pre-surgery which looked painful. On Easter Sunday the Celtic star posted a snap with himself and his girlfriend to wish everyone a Happy Easter with his face now stitched up.
Ryan will be out for the rest of Celtic’s season, with the goal now being to be fit for pre-season. He would have watched his teammates fight it out to a frustrating stalemate at Easter Road yesterday and will be hoping they can bring the title home asap after this weekend’s delay!
