This was the bizarre moment Salzburg manager, Marco Rose put on a Celtic hat and scarf and posed for a photo trackside after his side outplayed and beat Celtic on the night.

There were no hard feelings after the game with both sides making it through to the knockout stage of the Europa League.

Celtic looked like they were heading for the European scrap pile with five minutes to go.

A bad night at the office for the bhoys who couldn’t live with their Austrian opponents was compounded by a horrific error by Craig Gordon who gifted Salzburg their second.

However, with four minutes to go in the Leipzig vs Rosenborg game, our Norweigan pals done Celtic the biggest of favours and scored an equaliser which was enough to prevent Leipzig from sneaking past Celtic into the next round.

I wonder if Salzburg’s Red Bull masters will be pleased with their manager posing with a Celtic scarf after knocking their German side out of the competition.
