Celtic trail at half time in their League Cup last 16 tie after conceding a penalty against Ross County.

The bhoys suffering from the same old deficiencies and issues which have dogged us all season. A massive amount of possession without doing much and then being hit with a sucker punch on the break.

The bhoys could have been level straight away through Albian Ajeti when Tom Rogic made a world class touch to put the striker free in front of goal but he hit the post.

Neil Lennon keeps telling us the talks he’s having with his team are getting through, it doesn’t matter what formation we choose, the team are struggling to impose their dominance and turn it into goals.

We can only hope for a big reaction in the second half or Celtic will be out of a competition they have won four times in a row.

We have stopped taking bets on Neil Lennon being held to account for any particular result but if we can’t come back in the second half, what does that say for our chances this season?

  1. Lennon cant see past the same small pool of players and wont give any others a chance.
Demebele, Soro, Turnbull, Henderson, Klimala, Griffiths, Connell and the list goes on. He cannot see that new blood can only be a s bad as what is being served up right now, but would probably improve it, if not in skill levels, in effort and energy. Time to go Neil.

  2. He shpuld have been sacked 2 months ago. It was obvious this was the situation we were heading towards. Ryan Christie has hit the same cross 20 times to the same 2 Ross County players. He was very lucky to get a second chance at Celtic and has now tarnished his entire legacy at the club. The man that lost the ten, the man that lost the first cup tie in 5 years. He will have to pack up and bugger off back to Leicester I am afraid.
