The Celtic women didn’t get the win they were looking for on Monday evening against their fierce rivals, but it will feel like a win after the dramatic conclusion to the game.

After going behind in the 35th minute, the Celtic ghirls would plug away but were facing up to a defeat that would see Rangers Women pass them into second place.

However, Caitlan Hayes had other ideas and, in the 99th minute, slotted the ball home to rescue a point and keep Celtic’s Champions League qualification destiny in their own hands! The Rangers goalkeeper had a howler. Some might want to ask what the goalie is doing…

Fran Alonso is a passionate manager at the calmest of times, so you can imagine his touchline celebrations when the ball hit the back of the net.

Absolute scenes!

The game had a great crowd at Broadwood on Monday evening, and something was added to it by Sky Sports airing the game and having the usual Glasgow Derby commentator Ian Crocker on hand, who didn’t disappoint while calling the dramatic late goal.

Caitlan Hayes gets the plaudits on the night; she loves a goal against The Rangers.
